The donation of ovule

Eh yes!!! A very serious subject today, but which holds me in heart.
Why? Because the idea of giving my oocytes crossed me mind some months ago even if it did not become a reality, I think that it is important to speak about it, to explain, perhaps to awaken a desire in some moms!

I am therefore very happy to make you share today, besides a quick and clear explanation of what is the donation of oocytes, two moms' stories donneuses who were kind enough to answer my questions!

Who can give?
You can give yes:
- you are mom
- you are less than 37 years old
- you are in good health
- you have the agreement of your husband, common law husband, finally of the person who shares your life of couple

The fundamental:
- donation is free (but takes care one) of all medical steps of the donneuse
- donation is anonymous
- donation is voluntary, you can therefore come back on your decision until the last moment, that is the use of the oocytes.

The motivations of donneuses

Stages the most difficult to cross
Christel:

The puncture in itself, under local anaesthesia (at my request) was certainly an unpleasant instant, but in the final not more than a session at the dentist. 

Sandra:

 go to different appointments which require of time in week, what difficult when they work.
1. 1st medical consultation: explanation by a doctor of donation, risks and prescript of a balance sheet (a blood test and an ultrasound scan of ovaries)
2. make blood test and ultrasound scan at some instant of menstrual cycle.
3. 2nd medical consultation: delay d 1 incompressible month before seeing again the doctor with the results of examinations.
If examinations are satisfactory:
4. 1/2 a day in the hospital for: maintenance with a geneticist, maintenance with a doctor, maintenance with a psychologist, blood test.
If everything examinations are good and that there is not contraindication in donation (ex: hereditary genetic illness):
5. 3rd medical consultation: explanation of the holding of donation and of treatment to be made during the previous month
6. hormonal treatment by subcutaneous injection every day during month (by a nurse or by oneself) at home
7. chographique surveillance and blood test every other day during 8 days (except weekend) with consultation with an anaesthetist last day
8. hospitalisation of day for general anaesthesia of 15 minutes for the sample of oocyte, from 7 h, taken out at 16 h.
They do not know to whom they give, if donation allowed to get an embryo and if there was pregnancy.
It takes about 4 - 6 months in everything. 

Side effects, disadvantages
Christel:

 I was lucky, I had NO side effects. Neither weighty catch, or pain, or anything. I am not afraid of piqures, I succeeded in finding nurses and doctors near my Офис or near me, and in stalling make them you in my timetable of ways in the fact that my organisation is never disturbed (no mode of guard to find for my daughter), we had a healthy and completely clear report in what concerned the refund of medical expenses which it was necessary to move forward (I made a not anonymous direct donation, forbade in France but allowed in Belgium, with a monitoring in France by understanding doctors). All this made things easier greatly. Unfortunately this does not always take place as well. 

For Sandra, the most difficult rest itineraries for sometimes long medical appointments, even if for blood tests, donneuses is priority.
Other disadvantages, the daily piqures during 28 days.

 On the other hand, the donation itself, it is really nothing. They are a bit made tired in the evening and the following day but I went back to the work the following day without problem. In any case, they offer a stoppage of work if they want.
moreover, everything is free (blood test, echo, treatment, hospitalisation), they are in small care with donneuses. 

Changes to be brought in the system?
Christel:

 I think that a settlement of expenses, a reasonable, fixed inclusive indemnification (I imagine around 500 euro) would avoid is possible be quite a lot of misunderstanding between donneuses and ticket collectors. Beyond the beauty of gesture as they say, there is all that this implicates in the daily, I I therefore did not have worries, but I imagine this can be that in province, it is not also easy to be able to get organised as well, or if it is necessary to put down leaves in the daytime to the Офис, make kilometres to attend in return you medical, or find a mode of guard for his own children, can put down worry. I speak about what I could determine among the donneuses who launched at the same time as I, some stories badly took place because of mutual incomprehensions because without definite and clear frame, this can fast degenerate. 

Here I did not make this ticket to create a debate around the right to the child for example about whom they speak a lot at present. I want righteous man to make the promotion of a donation which exists, which is lawful and who can help many couples to become parents.
